LISA PUCHARICH, A 12-YEAR EMPLOYEE who works as a sales supervisor in the North Houston Reservations Center, oversees and assists Continental’s OnePass reservation agents. “My favorite cornerstone of CO’s culture is our emphasis on dignity and respect,” Lisa says. “Happy workers produce happy customers, and it is important to treat employees well.” Not only does Lisa give her all every day at work, but each year she is also the ringleader for the Houston Charity Golf Classic, which raises money for We Care, Continental’s employee help program. “We Care is a great organization,” Lisa says. “I remember seeing employees in need of aid, and after We Care helped them, you could hear the increased happiness in their voice. It’s great that Continental has such a program.” Reservations Senior Director B.J. McDonald came to Lisa with the idea of starting a golf tournament to raise money for We Care. Since then, Lisa has handled virtually all the details behind the creation of this major charity event. The 2005 event raised about $18,000 for We Care. Sponsors included American Express, Chartway, General Electric, Boeing, and more. Lisa is already hard at work on the 2006 tournament. “I would like to thank my coworkers who assisted with the tournament, including Reservations Agent Kevin Henley, who has assisted me for the past two years, Reservations Agent Maria DeWitt for working endless hours in getting silent auction items, and my husband and two daughters for supporting me in every way they can,” Lisa says. “I’d also like to recognize the 26 volunteers who donated their time on the day of the tournament. None of this could be done without them.” For more information on the Houston We Care Charity Golf Classic, go to nhcgolf.com.

IT’S STANDING ROOM ONLY at the crossroads of the world. Next month, more than 50,000 theater fans are expected to congregate in New York’s Times Square to celebrate the excitement of Broadway. Each fall, stars of hit shows step out on a giant outdoor stage at Broadway on Broadway®, a free event that transforms the streets of midtown Manhattan into a giant open-air concert hall. It’s a Big Apple salute to the beginning of another season of plays and musicals. And it’s all free and open to the public. With Continental Airlines as one of its sponsors, Broadway on Broadway takes place Sunday, September 18, beginning at 11:30 a.m. A live orchestra accompanies dozens of performers who present musical numbers from the shows that make Broadway New York’s single largest tourist attraction. The event also features special appearances by stage and screen celebrities, as well as sneak previews of the new musicals and plays set to open this fall on the Great White Way. The concert is also a celebration of the spectacular rebirth of Times Square as New York’s family-friendly entertainment hub. Broadway on Broadway is coproduced by the League of American Theatres and Producers and the Times Square Alliance. The event is presented in part by Continental Airlines, the Official Airline of Live Broadway. Broadway on Broadway Sunday, September 18, 11:30 a.m. Times Square, New York broadwayonbroadway.com

Passage to India
Continental will begin nonstop, daily service to Delhi, India, on November 1, subject to government approval. Delhi will become the 25th city in Continental’s transatlantic route network. The service will reduce travel time between New York and Delhi by at least two and a half hours by eliminating any stop or connection en route. “This new long-range route to India represents further evolution of our successful transatlantic network from New York/Newark,” said Jim Summerford, Continental’s vice president for Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Continental serves more transatlantic destinations than any other U.S.-based carrier.
