Fact: Cleveland rocks. It’s true, and it’s why they built the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum here on the eastern shore of Lake Erie. The city that gave us Arsenio Hall, Drew Carey, and Superman has a grand tradition of theater, music, folk festivals, and culture. Here’s our guide to help you make the most of your time here.

Your Itinerary

If You Have Two Hours
The first major exhibit focusing on the career of Bruce Springsteen is on display at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. From Asbury Park to the Promised Land: The Life and Music of Bruce Springsteen examines the Boss' early career with bands like Child and the Castiles, as well as his work with the E Street Band and his solo career. Objects on hand include the outfit he wore on the cover of Born in the U.S.A. and the 1960 Corvette he bought after the success of his breakthrough album, Born to Run. 751 Erieside Ave., rockhall.com

If You Have Two Days
June 19, 21, and 27, Opera Cleveland performs Giuseppe Verdi's final opera, Falstaff. Written while Verdi was in his nineties, the comedy centers on the greedy knight from Shakespeare's The Merry Wives of Windsor, who attempts to seduce two different women at once in the hope of taking their fortunes. (It doesn't go well for him.) State Theatre, 1591 Euclid Ave., operacleveland.org

If You Have a Long Weekend
A baseball game in June may be one of the most pleasant ways to spend a summer day. Luckily, the Cleveland Indians are home much of the month, playing the Kansas City Royals midweek from June 9-11, the St. Louis Cardinals 12-14, and then the Milwaukee Brewers June 15-17 before hitting the road for a week. They're back June 26 to take on the Cincinnati Reds in a three-game series and then the Chicago White Sox to finish out the month. indians.com

For the best seafood in town, try these three pearls.

Located in the warehouse district, the Nauti Mermaid is modeled on a Key West-style crab shack. One of Cleveland's newest restaurants, the Mermaid features a seafood cob salad that includes yellowfin tuna and cocktail shrimp. The grouper sandwich on a Kaiser roll hits the spot too. 1378 W. Sixth St., 216.771.6175, thenautimermaid.com

Fresh with clever dishes, the Blue Point Grille is well established on the Cleveland dining scene, having been cited for Best Seafood—First Place by Northern Ohio Live magazine. The menu includes items like Jail Island salmon, seared Hawaiian ahi, and almond-crusted tilapia. 700 West St. Clair Ave., 216.875.7827, hrcleveland.com

For a truly unique experience, try the Cleveland institution Don's Lighthouse. The dining room features dark mahogany and a half ton of copper, and on the menu are standards like Chilean sea bass, Block Island swordfish, Georges Bank sea scallops, and fire-roasted Delmonico steak. 8905 Lake Ave., 216.961.6700, donslighthouse.com
